Visual Symptoms of Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is a common disease in men. There is no clear information on what causes prostate cancer. Cells in the prostate starts becoming abnormal, and at that point, cancer develops. The cells grow and divide faster than the healthy cells. When the normal cells are dying, the abnormal cells continue living. Prostate cancer may come with age, family history, eating habits, and other genetic changes.

Visual symptoms of prostate cancer include:

1. Difficulty urinating
During the early stages of prostate cancer, urinary symptoms are more often experienced. The cancerous tumor may press and constrict the urethra, causing some difficulties in urination. The size and location of the tumor may determine the extent to which urine flow will be inhibited. An immediate examination needs to be performed to establish whether the main reason for the difficulties. Urinating should not be painful in normal cases. However, a burning sensation when urinating is an indication that one might be having cancer of the prostate. One can as well experience difficulty when either starting or stopping to pee. The urge to urinate frequently and urgently, especially at night, can be worrying and should not be treated as usual. However, not in all cases that experiencing difficulty in urinating can be a sign of cancer.

2. Erectile dysfunction
If a man experiences erectile dysfunction more often, it can be a sign of prostate cancer. Painful ejaculation can as well be a red alarm and should not be ignored at any cost. A decrease in the ejaculation fluid can be a visual sign as well. Nevertheless, struggling to have an erection is not an assurance that one has prostate cancer.

3. Bone pain
Prostate cancer can make someone have pain either on the lower back, pelvis, or around the hip joint. There can be some stiffness in some instances. Swelling around the pelvic area or the legs can as well be present. In most cases, bone pain is consistent and does disappear easily.

4. Blood in urine
Blood in urine is a major symptom of prostate cancer. When cancer has advanced to a particular stage, the urine turns bloody. The urine can change color from pale-yellow to either pink, red, or brownish-red. Pressure coming from the tumor can lead to damages in the urethra. Such damages causes sores around the urethra hence accumulation of blood in urine.

5. Discomfort sitting
Apart from pain around the bases of the penis as well as the scrotum and the feeling of a full rectum, people living with prostate cancer experience a swollen prostate that causes lots of discomforts while sited. An inflamed prostate is a significant health issue among people with this cancer as cannot comfortably rest while sited.

6. Cloudy urine
Cloudy urine means that something is amiss within the urinary tract. In most cases, victims of prostate cancer experience situations of frequent urination that deprives fluids of the body. The aspect causes dehydration that accounts for cloudy urine among people with prostate cancer.

7. Urine retention
Urine retention refers to one of the significant effects of the improper functioning of the bladder. The enlargement of the prostate obstructs the flow of urine through the urethra. The aspect weakens the bladder muscles, and in the long run, the urethra does not actively contact empty urine. Such retention is a significant sign of prostate cancer.

In a nutshell, it is prudent to keep checking some of these signs so as the condition can be arrested before it advances to late and deadly stages.
