Organic Skincare Recipes From Your Kitchen

Your kitchen cupboard will have the best organic solutions for your skin. Gentle, natural, and inexpensive ways to take care of your skin can be formulated from the oil, butters, extracts, and other foodstuff. Given below are some tips for organic skin care.

Cocoa butter
A super skin-smoothing agent, it is an ingredient in many cosmetics and skincare products. Rich in Vitamin E, it also contains Vitamin K and healthy fatty acids like oleic, linoleic, arachidic, and palmitic, which work to protect the skin’s moisture, healing and protecting it.

Use as a moisturizer: To use, warm a bit of cocoa butter and use on your face, arm, or legs, wherever you need moisture. A bit of it can also be added to your hot bath. It will melt in the water and make your skin fresh and smooth.

Coconut oil
Make organic skincare recipes with this oil or apply it as it is on your skin. It is a healthy combination of antioxidants and moisturizing fatty acids that have disinfectant and antimicrobial properties. Coconut oil can moisturize, safeguard, and help the skin heal.

Use as a cleanser: Massage a few drops of coconut oil on the skin before a bath to get nourished and supple skin. It can be used as a face cleanser. After massaging coconut oil on your face, use a warmed cloth to remove makeup, dirt, and grime from it. The skin gets naturally cleaned.

Sweet almond oil
It is a health-supportive oil that is packed with Vitamins E and A, protein, zinc, and potassium that soothes and strengthens the skin. It reduces damage caused by free radicals that causes premature aging. Vitamin A in the oil has healing properties and improves the production of collagen that keeps the skin supple.

Dark circle remover: To remove dark circles around your eyes, gently massage a few drops on the skin around the eyes. Repeat a few times every day, and you will notice that your skin gets lighter.

Vanilla extract
This plant has skin smoothening and wound healing properties. Essential B vitamins such as niacin, thiamine, riboflavin, vitamin B6, and pantothenic acid are present in vanilla, which help maintain healthy-looking skin.

Make your perfume: Mix one tablespoon of vanilla extract with 3 tablespoons of almond oil and store it in a dark spray bottle. This perfume is known to last up to 6 months. Vanilla extract can also be used in an antioxidant bath: Mix 1 tablespoon vanilla, 1 cup oatmeal, 1 cup water, and ½ cup baking soda. Pour this mixture into the water in your bath, and it will give you a skin freshening bath that removes bacterial odor.

Fruits
Many fruits qualify as excellent skin care choices. Packed with antioxidants, these are a rich source of vitamins and minerals. Fruits make excellent face packs, scrubs, and moisturizing agents. Banana, papaya, citrus fruits, avocado, watermelon, apple, lemon, and tomato are just a few examples of fruits that are highly beneficial for your skin.

Use fruits as a face mask: Cut the fruit and make a paste or juice of it. Mix it with a tablespoon of lemon juice or olive oil according to your skin type. Apply this mixture on your face and let it be for about 15 minutes before rinsing it off. Fruit face masks leave the skin moisturized and glowing.
