Foods for Heavy Sweating

Sweating is natural, and almost everyone has experienced it in their lives. Heavy sweating is a condition where the nerve cells become overactive, triggering perspiration even when necessary. Heavy sweating can affect a person’s life choices such as career choice, relationships, and self-image. Heavy sweating affects feet, hands, face, armpits, and groin regions, and sometimes the whole body.

Other causes of heavy sweating may include alcohol and substance abuse, pregnancy, respiratory failure, and some medications. Food remedies for heavy sweating include:

1. Water
The body sweats to reduce body temperatures. Cooling the body using water helps reduce the internal temperatures hence decreasing sweating. People who continuously sweat should have a bottle of cold water nearby where they sip throughout the day

2. Oats
Oats are rich in fiber and low in fats, which makes it easy for the body to digest them. By taking oats, the body is spared of the hard work of digestion, reducing sweating.

3. Dairy products
Dairy products such as cheese, yogurt, and milk can help a person achieve their daily calcium needs. Calcium maintains the body’s optimum temperatures resulting in less sweating for the individual. Dairy products that have lower fat content should be used because they are easily broken down by the body, reducing sweating.

4. Water-dense fruits
The easiest way to prevent sweating is by keeping the body cool and hydrated. This can be achieved by drinking water or taking succulent fruits such as watermelons, cucumbers, and strawberries. These fruits contain up to 92% water volume, which makes them very effective hydrating agents that significantly reduce sweating.

5. Sweet potatoes
Sweet potatoes are rich in essential vitamins. These essential vitamins can significantly help calm nerves, lower body pressure, and reduce stress levels.

6. Bananas
Bananas contain potassium that is required by the body in hydration. Bananas also contain magnesium, vitamin B6, and other nutrients that calm the body and aid in digestion.

7. Olive oil
Olive oil helps in metabolism and digestion. The regulation of metabolism and digestion helps check sweating by preventing surges in body temperatures.

8. Green tea
Green tea has excellent calming effects that should be taken advantage of. Many people experience heavy sweating when they are just about to go through a nerve breaking situation such as presentation and sipping some green tea before these situations help calm down and prevent sweating.

9. Salmon beef and eggs
These foods help balance the diet and contain the entire eight vitamins Bs. The Vitamin B complex prevents heavy sweating by maintaining a healthy nervous system, digestive system, and immune system

10. Vegetables
Vegetables such as spinach, almonds, and pumpkins are rich in magnesium. The body needs magnesium for metabolism and nerve functioning. People with hyperhidrosis tend to have lower levels of magnesium.
