Beauty Products for Perfectly Arched Brows

It takes time, patience, and a lot of practice to get the perfect eyebrows. Some people consider it science but for most, it is not an overnight success story. Whether you are blessed with bushy eyebrows or born with naturally sparse hair, it is possible to create a perfectly arched brow with the help of a few key products and some approved tips.

It is important to know that the perfect arch depends on your features, like the eyes and nose. Know this fact before you pull out your tweezers and brow pomade. You should know where your brows begin, arch, and end. The brow mapping technique would help you identify these three points.

Follow a straight line up from the edge of your nose to find out where your brow should start. To find your arch, find the highest natural point of your brow following a diagonal line from the outside of your nose across the middle of your eye. To know where your brow ends, follow a diagonal line from the outside of your nose to the outer corner of your eye. The length of the eyebrow is important as it gives the face its proportion.

If you have super sparse brows, it is recommended that you use a skinny tip pencil to make your eyebrows look full. Joah’s Precision Brow Pencil can be your best friend and is recommended by many. Measure the naturally highest point of your brows and then start filling them. Take a pencil and make a few strokes slightly above the natural hairline. Leave space in between each stroke. This would create an illusion of real hair. Working above the hairline adds height to the arch.

When filling out the brows, measure from the outer portion of the nose across the center of the eye to know the point of your brow where it is naturally at the highest. Brow powder or brow pomade can be used to instantly give a fuller and fluffier look to your eyebrows.

For long wear and realistic look, Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade is recommended. A powder alternative would be the Too Faced Cosmetic Brow Envy Kit. A thin eyebrow would need more fullness which needs a fiber-based brow gel. Suggested products would be Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Tinted Eyebrow Gel and ModelCo’s brow gel.

Once you have sketched and filled in the shape you prefer, you need to add texture to give the three-dimensional look. Start with backcombing the gel through the eyebrow from the end to the start. You get a full base to work on by teasing the hair like this. Now move in the opposite direction and define the arch by brushing the hair upward from the start towards the arch, in the direction of the hair growth and continue from the arch to the end.

To create a perfect arch for those with thick brows, just take off a few hairs in the lowest center area of your brows. Another option would be to add a light-reflecting highlighter under the brows to create an illusion of an arch. Some of the highly recommended highlighters are Maybelline’s Brow Precise Perfecting Highlighter is recommended.
